I’m Karolin Twiddy, an award-winning animation artist & filmmaker. I do animation, illustration, design, characterdesign, storyboards and concept development.
My agenda is to touch & entertain with unique designs, charming characters, important topics and the craft of 2D animation.
My works range from illustrations, logo animations, gifs & shorts to explainer and image films, as well as my own film productions.
Today I'm particularly interested in the series format, the combination
of live action and 2D, as well as the realisation of music videos, title sequences, TV identities and animated content for websites & social media.
Book & cover illustrations are also at the top of the list.

I am fascinated by the invisible, the abstract, the
small but important things.
Things that have a special attraction, provide information, but still remain a mystery. Like the microcosm, the world of fungi, psychology, relationships, the environment, health, physical
& spiritual laws, the occult and, last but not least,
us human beings.
CV
I was born in November 1990 in Marsberg, Germany. Due to a passion for drawing, I started studying visual communication with a focus on animation at the School of Art & Design Kassel (Kunsthochschule Kassel) in 2011. Short films, exhibits and first commissioned works were created here.
In December 2020 I graduated with distinction and received my Master of Fine Arts. My exam film "Soup" was shown at 17 film festivals worldwide, was one of the opening films at the 38th Kasseler Dokfest, was nominated for the "Goldener Herkules" and participated in several exhibitions.
Since 2021, I have been self-employed in the diverse world of animation. Previous clients & collaborators include the Nature Conservation Agency of the Kassel Regional Council, the Hessian Mobility Strategy 2035, Ensible e.V., B. Braun, Forest Pro, Slow Food, actor and filmmaker Carsten Strauch, fishyfilms and Raumkapsel Studio.
I'm currently working as a freelance animator and director in Kassel, Germany.
